In this piece I collected sand dollars from a beach in Aptos, transported them to a beach near my house and positioned them in three patterns by their size. In the first pattern I attempted to make a sand dollar star, the second I made a heart, and in the third I made a spiral. I then photographed them each from different angles and enhanced the photos slightly.
You can see shape, contrast, and unity through this piece.

San Francisco Zoo (March 30,2013)
I was offered to take a day-trip to the San Francisco Zoo with a photography group and I took it fast. I had a blast photographing the animals and the nature surrounding them. Here are a handful of my favorite/best shots from that day.

Chuck Close
This painting was created to depict the style of Chuck Close. To make this, I edited a photo from my youth to only show these three colors, I created a grid on my canvas paper to match a grid on the printed out photo, and I created the detailed painting below. The medium used was acrylic paint.
This piece shows unity, simplicity, and color.
