After utilizing a photo of myself, I then used a light-box to trace the black areas on watercolor paper, then used black ink to paint the areas needed. Used in this were line, form, space, texture, unity, contrast, emphasis, and movement.

Color through design
Created by using colored pencils, this piece shows line, value, color, texture, balance, unity, emphasis, and pattern.
Pattern Extra
As a small individual project, this small art piece was created through personal pattern design. Starting off with pencil, I then traced the pattern with Sharpie, colored it in with markers, and painted the words in with black acrylic paint. This is an example of line, shape, value, color, space, balance, unity, contrast, emphasis, and pattern.

Hidden Water Lily♥
Photograph I took at the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. I love the colors and how the lily stands out yet is hidden behind the wildlife as well. ♥

Acrylic Stool Painting
I idea of this assignment was to take a simple drawing of a still life, and make it stand out by using negative/positive detail. Though the rest of the class were given the option to use straight lines to cut the pieces of changing, I chose curves because I felt like it would give it a more unique and interesting feel. Line and color contrast were mainly present in this assignment. Unity and rhythm played a large part as well in the placement and design of the stool painting.
